i think is a real boy got too much craze on it and a bunch of band wagoner's jumped on. i would love to see that, but i just hate how big they've gotten. and i'm not gonna pretend like i didn't jump on the band wagon, but i only started with is a real boy and i listened to all their older stuff, which i prefer personally. and i like to picture all their high school music. <3

i envision stuff with every word that comes out of max's mouth. is a real boy, was a real boy, baseball, junior varsity, in defense.... everythinggg. i don't think they should do it though, because 1. although we'd all love to know what's going on in those pretty little heads, isn't it much more fun to picture your own version? and 2. too many people would buy into the whole "they're doing a musical" thing, and not be in it for the actual music, yanno?

I personally don't think that Max and the gang would take it to that level..

Although it was originally intended to be such, and as sure as I am that it would be insanely awesome, I think that they will leave it as the masterpiece that it is now, as opposed to exploiting it to the point of no return..

After all, isn't that what Say Anything's all about in the first place?

Not a movie...but I'd go see it if it was a broadway musical or something.

.....is a real boy is one of the best albums ever recorded and actually has a meening to it .....not like rap who, yes, has a meening but its hos and thugs instead of music you can imagine and have your own perspective of......say anything

the best band by far

The concept of a stage performance of "..is a Real Boy" is fantastic don't get me wrong.
The only thing is, The directing would have to be somewhat of a creative mastermind, because it would be nearly impossible to complete the image of say anythings songs. The lyrics are masterfully accompanied by the music and the emotion through max's voice which complete the story. Visually projecting these musical aspects on stage or screen would be immensely difficult and I believe the directer would require impeccable creative understanding of Max's Work> I honestly think the only man able to truly show us what the song's of ..is a Real Boy are about is Max Bemis himself. For me, the success of "...is a Real Boy...themusical" is completely reliant on whether max bemis wrote the screenplay, directed and stared in the film or whether a bunch of pretentious artist types seperately took on the tasks. Of course it would be amazing to see how well Mr. Bemis could do behind the wheel of the entire production. I believe it could happen. If he doesn't star in it then it better as hell be a true fan of Say Anything and not some Hollywood bullshit.

When I listen to Say Anything's music, I always picture a story. Every song makes me a new book in my head to add to my immense library. Out of all the music I have listened to, Say Anything definately leaves the biggest impact on me, and I think it is because they are so sincere and realistic. I know plenty of boy-bands who sugar-coat every southern-califonia moment , but Say Anything means more to me because it is real. I definately think they should make a movie! If they need actors I'm in!

I do that too, and don't we all kind of get an image of what the music means. Maybe they didn't do anything to actually show it the way he had it, so it'd be peronal to everyone else.. type of idea..

yeah, i's say so. i mean, i always try to make something out of any Say Anything music, it just so happens that ...Is A Real Boy was a concept album, so it made more sense. They should make a movie! ha.
