"The Church Channel" and "Fences" by paramore. Similar?

Average: 4.4 (5 votes)

So, maybe this is just me but I think there are many similarities between The Church Channel and Fences by paramore.
Firstly, in the lyrics. Maybe this is just my perception, but I think Fences is about a celebrity in rehab or something. The first lines are "I'm sitting in a room
Made up of only big white walls
And in the halls
There are people looking through
The window in the door
They know exactly what we're here for"
And then, obviously The Church Channel is about Max in Rehab and what he dealt with, however, it features Hayley Williams (duh)

and, maybe is just me, but since they were both released on their albums this year and obviously they know each other...
maybe there is a connection?

or maybe I just notice odd things like that.

i cant see any similarities between the 2, lyrically or musically. oh well, to each their own i guess...

probably since haley and max worked together one "the church channel" they were able to talk about the songs on both albums themselves..so one was probably influenced by the other (which is cool)..

even if they probably talk about the same thing, they're 2 completely different songs....

and "fences" does not do the same thing to me as "the church channel" does , the theres that..

OH YEA!!! and thats a good decpihering-thingy you came up with thinking that "fences" is about rehab even if we dont know what its about..

i think that haley was probably tlking about someone "she" didnt know what to think about a particular problem with someone , so thats why she was "sitting in the room with white walls"

and that person was probabably in trouble of some sort so thats why they were "dying" Smiling

maybe she was a test subject cuz she had a massive breakdown... or probed by aliens either or

I don't think 'Fences' has anything to do with rehab (how would Hayley relate to that?)I think it was more about how you have no privacy when you're a celebrity and you always have to perform cause "you're always on display" while 'The Church Channel' was more about rehab.

The only similarity I can see is that Hayley Williams is in both songs =D

But one thing I was wondering is how well do Max and Hayley know each other? Are they friends? OR do they just like each others band?

i actually just realized..fences is saying " your dying" over and over agian..i dont quite think she thinks max was dying.

or maybe im wrong.

its a good connection. i guess we'll never know.
