Songs that I think stand out so far (besides Skinny Mean, Man; Baby Girl, I'm A Blur; and Spores) :
1. Surgically Removing The Tracking Device- I love how he tells how he thought he was being filmed constantly
2.This Is Fucking Ecstasy- Love the description of him on ecstasy and his philosophy on his life while on it.
3.The Church Channel- Again, great story telling and I love the musical transition from the beginning, to the middle, to the end. The "so lay your head on me" part is just great.
4.Died A Jew- This is such a funny song but great! I think he's sorta bashing on Kanye West a little but to an extreme subtlety. Nice use of the word "haters".
5.Spay Me- I love this song, it might be my favorite! The nice touch at the end with him leaving but not really knowing if it was the right thing to do.
6. In Denfense Of The Genre- Gerard Way, Man! I can't believe they got him to sing on this track!
7. The Word You Wield- I love the rhythm and the metaphor
8.Vexed- Funny song. "Everyone good knows how hard you blow" is a nice line.
9.About Falling-I like how this song has an uplifting essence to it.
10.You're The Wanker, If Anyone Is- This song is defferent and a nice hooky riff in the beginning. "Go grow some balls", a nice line.
11.Hangover Song- A nice different approach to being hungover, but i wish it was longer. Its still great though. Max sounds like he wants to expand his vocal sound. I like it.
Well, those are the songs that stand out so far. Of course my opinions will change over time and more songs will be added. What do think are the best songs so far?

Heres a story, I got punk'd by my dad yesterday, he called me up when i was home alone and told me he got into a fight at taco bell and got arrested, and since its his 3rd strike he's going to prison.... ah that bastard I was hysterical crying for an hour, only to find out later he was kidding. (yeah, my family puts the "fun" in dysfunctional)
anyway, when i got off the phone with him I started singing "You've go nowhere to go but up................" and I was liek crying "nowhere to gooooooo" and listened to IDOTG in its entirety until my grandma called (who was in on the whole thing) to tell me he was kidding.
and i felt a little better for a few minutes, then i realized that i really didnt care if he went to prison or not =] it was a disappointment when i realized he was kidding
but my point is, SA does help me when Im in a spastic angry state too =]]]

It's difficult to narrow it down.
Did anyone get really pissed off when they didn't know/forgot Hangover Song was only :59 and you started jamming to it once the music and beat kicked in and then it abruptly ended, and then you shouted out "No!! Max, that's just f***ing cruel!" -- though I like the fact that he probably felt that he only needed :59 to express himself short and sweet.
Favorite songs are probably...Spores, About Falling, and Plea. If I keep ranking, I'll drive myself insane. This changes constantly.
My favorite aspect of the entire album is that it is a story. On a three hour trip, I listened to the entire album again, and if nobody has done this, each song definitely links to the next which I think is the most underrated aspect of the album.
Spores could not have spoken more to me, that song f***ing spoke to me.
I got into "I Used to Have a Heart" and "Plea" really late, but now they're among the top songs of the album for me.
I try not to forget that Baby Girl, I'm A Blur, Shiksa, and People Like You...are still a part of the album just because I listened to them a lot before the album was released. All of them are amazing.
The whole album is a masterpiece, really.
Spay Me, Insult to the Dead, and Plea are my favorites. Sometimes I swear Max is just speaking to my soul.
Vexed is my absolute favorite. And About Falling (acoustic)
ok my turn
sorry dudes my bad-its a say anything history lesson with comedy =]
spay me-awsome choice of words its an awsomly unextpected song its just speeds up regardless of the fact its a rather depressing song it still maintains a fun feel
you're the wanker if anyone is-the bright feel to it the bass the jumpyness its just fun
shiksa-the name stood out first for me because shiksa means non jewish girl then i listened to it and the song is as awsome as the name because its some of the few totally rockout say anything songs and those are my favorites and its got jew refrences and thats another one of my favorite things that max does
died a jew-just an great message great bass line great refrences and totally anti everything
skinny mean man-this song stands out to me because i hate it soo much the intro pisses me off its terrably angry depressing hard to fallow jumps from beat to beat i just dont like it as a whole i like the chours though but then the chours gos into something completly different i just dont like it

what were u expecting a signature?
church channel, sorry dudes, my bad. and we killed it are my favorite songs.
i listened to their more popular songs before i got the cd..
if we killed it was longer, it'd be my favorite song on the album.
idotg is amazing though.. better than ..is a real boy? not sure but still amazing
I agree with The Church Channel standing out... it's my favorite song on the album..
Lyrically, "Retarded in Love" is absolutely excellent.
It feels alive. It isn't a husk. It's personal, yet easy enough to identify with.
"He's the first to tell you he's full of shit, like that's half a compliment...for men", is the pining of a generation, the collective grasping motion of every man that exists independently both as himself and as caricature of a Salinger character (Seymour or Holden, take your pick).
"Sorry, Dudes. My Bad" has the most pure line on the album and something more real than most could thankfully ever comprehend. "Max, I will sell you this xanax for five dollars." That xanax was worth five dollars. It gets you by. Not in the absurd way commercials portray American culture, but a living and breathing beast, a physical need. There is a price on relaxation and peace of mind. Apparently, five dollars.
Thanks for this album. It makes me smile and cry in alternating patterns. As sure as I am that no one gives a shit about personal anecdotes, this is a completely fair representation of the wish for love and the inability to go through with it due to some variety of mental illness, paranoid schizophrenia in my case. There are risks. There are falls. There are fucks. There is life in every word. This is life.

Skinny Mean Man
No Soul
Surgically Removing the Tracking Device
People Like you are why People like me Exist
In Defense of the Genre
The Truth is You should Lie with me
Vexed
You're the Wanker if Anyone is
I love these.
goodbye young tutor
I love the song No Soul, how it tells how people are all alike and have no unique ideas. It just stands out for me.
all great songs, "spay me" is my instant favorite though. I'm pretty sure he uses part of an old song but added new lyrics to it...I'm going to listen to the old stuff though and see if i can find it.
I completely agree with you when it comes to wanker, about falling, spay me and the word you wield:) I think that "an insult to the dead" is another one that stands out if you ask me but all your choices were great:)
