In Defense of the Genre - Gerard

Average: 5 (2 votes)

In the song, In Defense of the Genre, when I first heard Gerard I ran for the lyrics book. What he says is pure genious, it's hilarious.

"i've got an empty wallet and a record cover
the stage hot and worn like an aging lover
so i spew a comet of verbal vomit, sacrilegious, of chirst or islamic
it's full of piss and they'll never stop
come on, come on, come on"

i love gerard, and say anything, so when the 2 merge, it creates unintentional genius, destined to soar to new heights, and above.

"Do you remember me, do you remember me? The one with who you fell beneath the sea."

i agree with the post before me. i thought that was Gerard singing, but only found out it was by reading this. i've seen gerard live and his voice is pretty annoying.

*I still know how to fuck your eyes crossed...*

All his part in this song showed was Gerard's uncanny abilitly to ruin good music.

Hahaha I love that bit of the song.
Gerard Way is one of my favourite vocalists; I was so happy when it was announced he'd be on the album

His voice is intentional. Cocky. If you know the song "Blood" it's the same sarcastic tone.

I think his voice fits perfectly to this song. That is why he's an ARTIST beause he can change his voice to properly fit a song.

i know he didnt write it, but I like that he said them. his voice doesn't sound as good, i agree, but I still love it.

Erase me, erase me, I'm gone.
My feet find the freeway, I run.

His voice in that song is horrible.
He's normally SO much better of a singer!
I'm so dissapionted in his voice in the song.

Besides, it wasn't him who wrote the lyrics, it was Max.
