OKay, I love Say Anything. I think in 2005 I was finally going to see them live, but the night before Max had a breakdown and cancelled the rest of his tour. I was sooooooooo pissed, but I was more concerned about Max's health so I got over it =P

I hate bands that are dishonest to themselves and to their fans--those who write to be famous or simply write total nonsense. Say Anything does not fall under this category. They deal with REAL life, things that they love and hate, and social issues too. Max's poetry and the AMAZING instrumental support to his poetic verse is unlike the other "emo" bands that they have inevitably been categorized with. I listen to a wide variety of genres, any and all of whom rock my soul!! (yea, i know, I'm lame). I know a lot of poets and songwriters are told by their fans that their words have touched them so much. People can always relate to each other, and Max's straight forwardness and bravery to sing about what ever he wants proves that he is someone people can all relate with. It's bands like Say Anything that I feel really brings everyone together in their torturous lives without even realizing it. I know I'm rambling, and probably not making any sense, but all in all this band has cradled me through a lot of shit in my life, and I feel like I know them personally. Even if I never meet them, I can honestly say that I love them all so much and am grateful for their sincerity. They keep it real in a world full of flaky scenester assholes (those of all genres). No matter what I write here, I don't think it would ever be enough. Say Anything is fucking amazing!!!
