I hope my next one will be my Say Anything one! I've been getting ones surrounding music and I hope that when I do get enough money I'll get a cricket and a mouse for the song The Great Awakening.

I got this a couple years ago. I could NEVER decide on what lyrics to get since Max is one of my favorite lyricists, so I thought I'd get his signature to represent his work as a whole. Well, I like what I got so much better than a fancy signature. It's how he wrote his name on the back of a poster I made him sign. It took him forever, I thought it was gonna be some intricate signature or something, but it was a shaky little doodle of his name. Which makes it so cute!
But it's kind of a cockblock because I assume people think I have a kid or I had someone on drugs do a tattoo of my boyfriend's name or something. Haha
The second one is obviously flipped.

It has so much meaning for me regarding my beliefs and feelings about my dad dying. And then maybe a few decorative stars, because we shared a lot of love for sci-fi, haha.

I think it's sort of ridiculous and judgmental to say that all tattoos are pretentious. I'm probably super biased, because I have quite a few, but I don't like it when people ask me about mine. And if there IS some meaning behind someone's tattoo how is that a bad thing?

I'm getting one in the next two weeks or so on my forearm.

i don't see what's pretentious about my tattoo. there's no deep meaning...it says exactly what it's about. i just love SA and wanted a say anything-related tattoo.

Tattoos are quite pretentious, especially if they're out in the open. It's pretty much saying, "Hey, ask about me. I have a deep meaning that you won't really understand, but you should ask about me anyway."

OMG... I never thought of that. There are so many great Say Anything lyrics, ideas and statements. I don't get tattoos, but if I did, I would DEFINATELY get a SA tattoo. My favorite band in the whole entire world! It would be reeaaaaally hard deciding what to get though. I'd have to dissect every song, find my favorite lyrics, and go from there.
