Razia's Shadow was Great
I think The Spider and the Lamps is probably the best song (but then, I'm biased.) I love the little shout-out to Spidersong. If you've never heard of Razia's Shadow, I suggest you look it up if you have a spare hour to listen to some cool new music. The story is pretty incredible, though sad. I'm glad I found it, so I'll have to thank Max for that.

I saw that already, i was a little disappointed when they said there was no sheet music, so I've been scouring the interwebs. their stage script is just the music lyrics labeled with which character sings what. but thanks anyway, i really appreciate it

Well you're welcome. I'm glad I did what I intended, and someone else found some joy from it too. About the stage show, if you want to really do that, they have information about it here: http://www.forgivedurden.com/raziasproduction/

Yeah I'm really glad you posted this topic because otherwise i would have never found this album! thank you. I almost want to try and do a stage production of this. all i need( or want to do) is write a bit more to the script to flesh it out and extend it's length. i also want to find some sheet music to the music, or at least chord progressions so i could have the guy who usually performs the music in the plays i work on. I have some qualms with only having the instrumental cd. but i would be the most excited to work on costumes and sets! so much awesome potential, i just need time. which is the most tricky thing to acquire, more than any of the riches of the world.

I'm glad you found it at a time when it was meaningful to you. It seems like a good way to pass time when you're stressed.

I finally finished it ! it is so good! and at the perfect time too. the past week has been hell week and show time for the play I'm directing for my high school. I was really stressed out and starting to become all pissed off and ornery at everything. So on the little free time i had away from the stage, while every one did makeup and prep for stuff. I would go out back and listen to the album. It really helped me power through that last stretch. it was just what i needed and kept me in a good mental place, so i am forever indebted to it for that. And the show went great! which was the icing on the cake for my week. I also loved the fact that you could tell many of Forgive Durden's influences like Aladdin and Moulin Rouge. A masterpiece when it comes to concept albums.

I loooove it so much! It's a good blend of musical styles (well, as far as an album/musical can go), and it feels magical.

I've only listened to the first half so far, but i already love it. it is somewhat reminiscent of the days of radio plays but updated to modern musical tastes. excellent indeed
