Why are you trying so hard? I love all of your CDs but I am question this up comming one. I don't like Property or Hate Everyone. It sounds bad. Your my property? What is up with that? I enjoy Crush'd, took a couple listens to fully grow on me but Its good. The line "Did it hurt when you fell from heaven girl?" is just cheesy, I usually stop the song at that part. Hate Everyone, and now Property arent living up to my expectations. SA used to have witty anger, and cleverly disguised meanings behind their songs. This new stuff is just plain blah.
Listen to almost any song on Is A Real Boy and its full of metaphors, innuendos and unique wording. Now the new songs seem almost literal, and full of easy to understand messages. When you know the meaning of a song the first time you hear it, it has no replay value.

I liked Hate Everyone even though it was a fairly simple song and, similar to that other guy, I cringe whenever I hear "did it hurt when you fell from heaven, girl". As for Property, I really hope it's not indicative of the album. I'm hoping it's like a lot of other SA songs that I didn't enjoy too much at first but after a few listens come to appreciate and enjoy. Still very excited for the album, though.

Not only did you miss the entire concept of the song, you made a complete idiot of yourself by posting proof of your ignorance on the band's website. Whine about this to some other haters and nay-nayers who can't stand people being happy. The statement "this sounds bad" in and of itself proves how little you know about music, namely, the fact that it is SUBJECTIVE. If you don't like it, fine, but keep it to yourself, and maybe go listen to some Kanye West or something, like the gay fish you are.

Max the new stuff is completely and utterly you. It's everything I've been hoping and waiting for out of Say Anything. Of course there's going to be haters that are just going to diss everything everyone ever does, but think about it this way: people were pissed at green day and hated on them for dookie. DOOKIE. A masterpiece. So don't listen to the few who say it sucks, listen to all the people giving you guys love! I mean, Max Bemis said on his Twitter page that it was about. It's about an abusive relationship from the point of view of the abused. He also said that hate everyone was tongue-in-cheek, not to be taken completely seriously.
Anyways, I'm hoping to get tickets to their show in Seattle soon. Gotta get some cash, though.

So, I think I love this album already. Every song I've listened to has just made me love Say Anything more than I already did, which I thought was impossible. It's just too long to wait.
